Educational Technology and Web 2.0

Over the past couple of weeks, I have had the opportunity to really look at some of the Web 2.0 products and how they might be used in the educational setting. I think that I have a whole new respect for all the possibilities and doors it could open in collaboration and coordination between parents, teachers and students.

I believe that blogging can safely be done in the school setting when students are given instruction on internet safety and know that they are accountable for what they post in a blog. Students may find it easier to respond to someones writing through an electronic method such as blogging. It makes it easier for more people to respond so feedback may be more helpful.

I agree! It is a little overwhelming to think of getting everyone on board; parents, colleagues, administrators but the possibilities are really so much more than they were just a few years ago.
